Federico Pascual-Mastellone focused on maintaining feature continuity in the tweag/hoarding-cardano-node repository during a period of upstream deprecations. He ported the ProtocolParameters type from the cardano-api library directly into the tx-generator module, ensuring ongoing access to essential protocol parameters required for transaction generation. This work involved careful code porting and refactoring in Haskell, with an emphasis on API integration to mitigate risks of runtime failures as the Cardano APIs evolved. Although the period did not include new feature development, Federico’s targeted bug fix preserved critical workflow stability and demonstrated depth in managing compatibility within a changing technical landscape.
