Fedi Jamoussi developed and integrated the IceStudio Visual FPGA Editor as a new package in the srid/nixpkgs repository, focusing on establishing a complete packaging workflow using Nix and build systems expertise. He implemented source fetching directly from GitHub, configured all necessary dependencies, and set up nwjs as the runtime environment, ensuring that the package could be installed and maintained through standard nixpkgs processes. By providing reproducible builds and clear metadata, Fedi’s work enabled immediate developer access to IceStudio via Nix, laying a foundation for future extensibility and maintainability within the package management ecosystem. No bugs were reported or fixed.
