During a two-month period, Fern Venue developed foundational search capabilities for the langgenius/dify-plugins repository by integrating Meilisearch, establishing a scalable path for future enhancements. Fern focused on maintainable upgrade processes, versioning, and packaging, ensuring compatibility and reducing release risk. In parallel, Fern improved the langgenius/dify-docs repository by enhancing the self-hosted Docker installation guide, introducing dynamic release tag retrieval with Bash and jq, and reorganizing documentation for better onboarding. Fern also added a ZIP-based installation method, increasing deployment flexibility. The work demonstrated depth in documentation, shell scripting, and technical writing, prioritizing automation, usability, and long-term maintainability across both projects.
