During July 2025, Xayax developed a scalable site onboarding configuration for the freifunk-berlin/bbb-configs repository, focusing on the Bissing location. Leveraging YAML for infrastructure management and network configuration, Xayax introduced a standardized template that streamlines the provisioning of new sites. The solution incorporated detailed network topology, including hostnames, roles, and IP assignments for mesh, DHCP, and management, while also integrating SNMP device configuration and IPv6 support. This approach established a repeatable workflow for future site onboarding, improving operational readiness and device manageability. The work demonstrated depth in automating infrastructure processes and enhancing network scalability without addressing bug fixes.
