Worked on enhancing server version detection in the librenms/librenms repository by implementing support for Windows Server 2025. Updated the backend logic in PHP to recognize the new build number 26100 within the getServerVersion and getDatacenterVersion functions, enabling accurate identification and classification of both Windows Server 2025 and its Datacenter edition. This improvement streamlines asset discovery and monitoring for organizations deploying the latest Windows Server, reducing the need for manual mapping and follow-up remediation. Focused on backend development, the work addressed compatibility with evolving infrastructure, ensuring that monitoring systems remain current with new operating system releases.
