During November 2024, Figsoda focused on maintaining and improving compatibility in the srid/nixpkgs repository by updating the Namaka package from version 0.2.0 to 0.2.1. This work involved careful management of package metadata, including updating the version string, source fetch hash, and cargo build hash to ensure alignment with the new release. Using Nix and Cargo, Figsoda emphasized build reproducibility and traceability, enabling upstream fixes and enhancements to be integrated smoothly. The update addressed stability and compatibility concerns, demonstrating proficiency in package management and version control, though the scope was limited to a single feature without bug fixes.
