Worked on the nextcloud/craft-blueprints-kde repository to modernize its UI docking capabilities by upgrading the KDDockWidgets library from version 1.5.0 to 2.2.5. This effort focused on enabling Qt 6 compatibility, which required updating the build system and managing dependencies to support the new library version. The work involved configuring the build to use the 'qtwidgets' frontend, as well as updating the target version, download URL, and SHA256 for accurate integration. Using Python for build system management and dependency management, the changes improved maintainability and forward compatibility, laying the groundwork for faster delivery of future UI-centric features.
