Developed and delivered PDM microphone support for the ESP32-P4 variant within the esphome/esphome repository, expanding the platform’s audio input capabilities for embedded applications. Focused on integrating PDM microphones into the I2S audio path, the work enabled new hardware compatibility and broadened potential use cases such as voice interfaces and audio sensing. The implementation was completed in Python, leveraging expertise in audio processing and embedded systems, and was contributed through collaborative commits aligned with an open pull request. During this period, the primary emphasis was on feature development and platform enhancement, with no major bug fixes addressed in the same timeframe.
