Firaz Abasali developed a Mel Spectrogram Visual Slide for the UCSD-E4E/weekly_presentations repository, focusing on enhancing the clarity of audio feature extraction concepts in educational presentations. Using LaTeX for presentation development and technical documentation, Firaz created a reusable slide component that incorporates a mel_spectogram.png image asset to visually demonstrate Mel spectrograms. This addition addressed the need for consistent, clear visuals in recurring team decks, supporting better communication of technical audio processing topics. The work was scoped to a single feature over one month, reflecting targeted, well-defined engineering that improved the instructional value of the team’s presentation materials.
