Worked on modernizing code quality tooling for the stylelint/stylelint repository by removing the husky dependency and introducing a custom pre-commit hook. This new approach leveraged lint-staged to handle code formatting, streamlining the pre-commit process and reducing the number of external dependencies required for contributors. The update focused on improving maintainability and simplifying onboarding for new developers by consolidating configuration and minimizing setup complexity. The work was implemented using JavaScript and Git, with a focus on DevOps practices to enhance the overall development workflow. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature development and tooling improvements.
