Worked on the FFmpeg/FFmpeg repository to enhance the stability and reliability of live streaming workflows by addressing a critical issue in RTMP protocol handling. Focused on C programming, buffer management, and protocol handling, the developer implemented a targeted bug fix that introduced safeguards against integer overflow when accumulating the FLV buffer size. This technical approach prevented potential out-of-bounds memory access, directly improving the robustness of buffer management in streaming scenarios. The work demonstrated careful attention to low-level details and contributed to the overall reliability of the RTMP protocol within FFmpeg, with a clear emphasis on maintaining secure and stable code.
