During August 2025, Flip worked on the oxidecomputer/hubris repository, focusing on embedded systems development and build system configuration using Rust. Flip implemented a new Cargo feature flag, dice-mfg, within the lpc55xpresso project to enable dice-mfg functionality from the lpc55-rot-startup crate. This addition allowed hardware teams to test manufacturing tools directly on the board, streamlining setup and accelerating validation cycles. The work required careful integration of build system changes and a clear understanding of embedded Rust workflows. While the scope was limited to a single targeted feature, the solution addressed a concrete need and laid groundwork for future enhancements.
