During May 2025, Lorenz Fontana enhanced the resilience of Nextflow-based pipelines by improving error handling across the nf-core/tools and nf-core/rnaseq repositories. He implemented robust handling for exit code 175, which indicates unrecoverable snapshot failures, by updating the retry logic and configuration to automatically resubmit affected jobs. This work reduced manual intervention and improved pipeline reliability. Using Groovy and leveraging skills in DevOps and pipeline management, Lorenz ensured consistent error-handling patterns and in-code documentation across repositories.
