Worked on the securityscorecard/design-system repository to modernize the publishing and CI/CD workflows for the design system. The main feature involved migrating package publishing from the npm registry to GitHub Packages, streamlining the release process and improving artifact availability. Leveraging Node.js, JavaScript, and YAML, the updated workflows now reliably publish snapshot versions and ensure these artifacts remain accessible even after pull request closures. The work also included enabling write permissions in GitHub Actions to support automated pull request management. The focus throughout was on enhancing automation, reliability, and reducing release cycle time, with no major bugs reported during this period.
