During January 2026, Fourdollars focused on improving the reliability of CPU feature detection in the Homebrew/brew repository. By consolidating the CPU feature evaluation logic within brew.sh, Fourdollars addressed sporadic SIGPIPE errors that previously caused build and installation flakiness across different environments. The solution involved careful shell scripting and system programming, ensuring that piping behavior was handled safely and consistently during automated checks.
