In December 2025, Levizh developed Rust language support for the RT-Thread real-time operating system within the levizh/rt-thread repository. This work involved integrating Rust components into the existing build system, enabling developers to write RT-Thread applications in Rust alongside traditional C modules. Levizh implemented modular configuration options, allowing conditional compilation of Rust features based on project requirements, which enhanced the platform’s extensibility and modularity. The integration was validated to ensure seamless Rust-based application development on embedded systems. Leveraging skills in RTOS, Rust, and system programming, Levizh delivered a foundational feature that expands RT-Thread’s language support and developer flexibility.
