Worked on a major upgrade for the 0xPlaygrounds/rig repository, focusing on enhancing the TLS and HTTP client infrastructure. The project involved migrating the dependency stack to Reqwest 0.13 and adopting rustls as the default TLS backend, which improved security and maintainability while reducing reliance on OpenSSL. The developer refactored feature flags to align with modern standards, updated related configuration for downstream consistency, and temporarily disabled middleware integration to ensure stability during the transition. This work demonstrated strong backend development skills in Rust and API integration, delivering a robust foundation for future upgrades and improved operational readiness.
