Worked on enhancing the internal reasoning display for the ggml-org/llama.cpp repository by developing a feature that enables reasoning block content to be rendered as either formatted Markdown or plain text, controlled by a user-facing toggle. This approach improved the clarity and transparency of internal model reasoning without affecting core performance. Leveraging Svelte and TypeScript, the developer focused on UI/UX design to deliver a more intuitive and flexible user experience. Additionally, a UI rendering bug was addressed to ensure consistent Markdown display for thinking and reasoning blocks, resulting in clearer visualization and greater user control over how information is presented.
