
Developed a local M3 metrics testing environment for the m3db/m3 repository, enabling end-to-end validation of metric aggregation and consumption in a reproducible local setup. This work introduced a dedicated local consumer service and configured the M3 aggregator to send metrics to a new dynamic backend, facilitating comprehensive service integration testing. Leveraged Go, Docker, and YAML to provide Dockerfiles, configuration files, and scripts that streamline environment setup and execution. The solution accelerates testing cycles, reduces onboarding time for new contributors, and enhances the reliability of metric pipelines by allowing developers to validate changes locally before deploying to production environments.
