Over a two-month period, Freq440 contributed targeted improvements to kufu/hello-world and kufu/smarthr-design-system, focusing on front-end performance and documentation quality. In kufu/hello-world, Freq440 enhanced text rendering by implementing web font preloading for DINAlternate-Bold using Astro and JavaScript, which reduced render delays and improved First Contentful Paint without altering the UI. For kufu/smarthr-design-system, Freq440 improved documentation clarity by aligning explanations with examples and standardizing spacing, leveraging Markdown and content writing skills. The work demonstrated attention to both user experience and maintainability, addressing specific performance and onboarding challenges through precise, low-risk feature enhancements rather than broad refactoring.
