During January 2025, Freyr Sh. developed a configurable ZITADEL Helm Chart for the zitadel/zitadel-charts repository, focusing on enhancing Kubernetes service deployment flexibility. By introducing options for extra labels and externalTrafficPolicy within the service template, Freyr enabled users to tailor deployments to diverse LoadBalancer requirements without manual chart modifications. The work was implemented using Helm and YAML, leveraging Kubernetes best practices to ensure maintainability and clear configuration management. This targeted feature addressed a common need for customizable service definitions, and the concise, well-documented commit history reflects a focused engineering approach with depth in Helm chart templating and Kubernetes resource management.
