During March 2025, Fried Magb worked on deltachat-desktop, developing an invite link copy confirmation dialog to enhance user safety when sharing invites. This feature displayed the invite link and required explicit user action to copy, reducing accidental sharing. Fried updated end-to-end tests in TypeScript to align with the new dialog flow and addressed intermittent test failures by refining timeout settings and profile display name handling. Using JavaScript, SCSS, and changelog management, Fried stabilized the testing environment, resulting in fewer flaky CI runs. The work improved release readiness by ensuring UI changes were thoroughly tested and properly documented for future reference.
