During March 2025, Fripsidenice upgraded the cert-manager Helm chart from version 1.16.1 to 1.16.4 in the DaoCloud/dce-charts-repackage repository, focusing on release readiness and chart maintenance. This work involved editing both Chart.yaml and values.yaml using YAML, leveraging DevOps and Kubernetes expertise to enable new features and security improvements. The upgrade improved deployment stability and made future updates easier by aligning the chart with current Kubernetes capabilities. Although the scope was limited to a single feature and did not include bug fixes, the work demonstrated careful attention to maintainability and the evolving requirements of Kubernetes-based deployments.
