In November 2025, Fatih Goktas adapted the SWELL framework within the GEOS-ESM/swell repository to integrate R2D2 v3, focusing on enhancing data handling, storage, and credential management. Using Python and leveraging API integration and data management skills, Fatih delivered a cohesive patch that introduced secure credential handling and streamlined task updates. The technical approach centered on patch-based delivery and commit-driven change management, resulting in improved data reliability and more scalable workflows. While the work spanned a single feature without bug fixes, it demonstrated depth in software development by addressing core infrastructure needs for data workflows and credential security.
