During February 2026, Malcolm worked on the folio-org/platform-complete repository, focusing on upgrading the platform’s build environment to a Java 21-based image. This infrastructure enhancement aimed to improve compatibility, performance, and maintainability across the CI/CD pipeline. Malcolm utilized Docker and Shell scripting to modernize the build process, aligning tooling with Java 21 LTS and reducing technical debt. Although no user-facing bugs were addressed, the work established a robust foundation for future feature development and streamlined CI cycles. By documenting migration steps and ensuring smoother runtime execution, Malcolm’s contribution demonstrated depth in full stack development and build system modernization.
