Worked on stabilizing the user interface for the KyberNetwork/kyberswap-interface repository, focusing on improving the reliability of portal and modal flows. Addressed a recurring crash by implementing a Portal Removal Crash Guard, which checks for the presence of portal containers in the DOM before attempting removal. This defensive approach to DOM lifecycle management, using React with JavaScript and TypeScript, reduced UI errors and prevented removeChild crashes during dynamic updates. The solution enhanced regression safety and improved the overall user experience by minimizing portal-related crash reports, demonstrating careful attention to robust front end development and production-quality code changes.
