Worked on the Opetushallitus/ataru repository to streamline backend processes and improve code maintainability. Focused on simplifying the data submission model by removing the country field from the tutu application's submission process, which reduced complexity for users and backend systems. Enhanced code clarity by renaming an SQL query to be more descriptive and updating the corresponding function call within the Clojure store, supporting better long-term maintainability. Utilized Clojure and SQL to implement these changes, applying skills in backend development and database management. The work addressed feature delivery and code quality, with an emphasis on clarity and simplification rather than bug fixes.
