During June 2025, Gabriel Beracira developed a radiological progression evaluation function for the hartwigmedical/actin repository, focusing on backend development and data analysis using Kotlin. He designed a rule-based system that determines disease progression after the latest systemic treatment by evaluating whether the last treatment resulted in progressive disease or if treatment cessation implies assumed progression. If neither condition is met, the function marks progression as undetermined. This automated approach aligns radiology assessments with treatment events, reducing manual interpretation and streamlining radiology reporting workflows. The work demonstrated a focused, well-scoped contribution, addressing a specific clinical decision-making need within the project.
