During October 2025, Gahung worked on the NVIDIA/ais-k8s repository, focusing on backend development with Go and Kubernetes. He introduced a unique AIStore ClusterID, embedding it into the cluster’s custom resource to enhance observability and operational management. By integrating the ClusterID into cluster readiness checks and status reporting, he enabled more reliable identification and monitoring of clusters, which is essential for scalable multi-cluster deployments. Gahung also implemented validation tests to ensure the ClusterID consistently matched the expected UUID, demonstrating attention to reliability and correctness. His work addressed cluster identification challenges with a targeted, well-tested engineering solution.
