Gal Salomon focused on backend development and testing for the ceph/s3-tests repository, addressing reliability issues in S3 Select test cases. During July 2025, Gal delivered a targeted fix to handle empty result sets and zero-count aggregations, ensuring that tests no longer failed on rare edge cases where no rows matched. By updating the Python-based test suite to check for empty results and set sums to zero appropriately, Gal improved both test coverage and CI stability. This work deepened the robustness of automated testing workflows, reducing flaky failures and enhancing the reliability of S3 feature validation within the project’s continuous integration pipeline.
