Worked on the Automattic/wp-feature-api repository to enhance data integrity and API client compatibility by implementing schema nesting depth enforcement. Developed a feature in PHP that limits the maximum nesting depth for schema data, automatically truncating structures that exceed this threshold. The approach included refining the handling of oneOf types and making non-required properties nullable, which improved interoperability with diverse API clients. Focused on backend and API development, the work emphasized robust schema validation to ensure data validity. This targeted engineering effort addressed potential issues with deeply nested data, resulting in more reliable and maintainable API interactions for downstream consumers.
