Worked on the segmentio/segment-docs repository to address a critical issue in AWS IAM policy documentation for EMR integration. Focused on improving the data-lakes-manual-setup.md file, the developer identified and corrected a syntax error by adding a missing comma and ensuring the necessary permissions, such as elasticmapreduce:AddTags, were properly listed. Using Markdown for documentation and applying a detail-oriented approach, the update resolved permission errors that previously hindered Segment’s ability to create and tag EMR clusters. This work enhanced the accuracy and maintainability of onboarding documentation, supporting smoother setup and operation for users integrating Segment with AWS EMR.
