Worked on the OpenSpace/OpenSpace repository to enhance security-related access controls for cloud-hosted components. Focused on configuration management using cfg, the developer delivered an allowlist update that incorporated the openspaceweb.com domain along with both public and private AWS machine IP addresses. This targeted change tightened server access boundaries while ensuring legitimate traffic could reach web and AWS-hosted services. The implementation was completed through a single, well-documented commit, providing clear traceability and facilitating future audits. By aligning the allowlist with the deployment footprint, the update improved both accessibility and security, reducing exposure to unauthorized access without introducing unnecessary complexity.
