Worked on stabilizing Azure Key Provider authentication within the opentofu/opentofu repository, focusing on backend development using Go and cloud services. Addressed configuration-driven processing for tenant_id and subscription_id, ensuring these values are correctly read from configuration files. Improved the handling of environment variables and metadata_host, reducing deployment risk and triage time. Expanded automated test coverage to validate authentication configuration across different environments, enhancing reliability and CI readiness. The work included targeted fixes to the encryption/azure_vault module, resolving issue #4090 and strengthening the authentication flow. Emphasized robust testing practices and careful integration of cloud authentication mechanisms throughout the process.
