Worked on the chatwoot/chatwoot repository to address a critical localization issue affecting Chinese assignment notifications. Focused on front end development and i18n, the developer corrected the logic in YAML locale files to ensure that assignee names and user names were displayed according to English semantics, improving translation accuracy for Chinese-speaking users. The solution involved updating both zh and zh_CN locale files, validating the changes through end-to-end testing of the assignment workflow, and documenting the process with clear Git-based change tracking. This work enhanced the reliability of multi-locale notifications and demonstrated proficiency in localization and internationalization best practices.
