Worked on the fossas/fossa-cli repository to deliver a targeted enhancement for container scanning, focusing on Debian-based images. Developed new logic in Haskell to support scanning the Debian package status directory, specifically /var/lib/dpkg/status.d, enabling the tool to identify package statuses more comprehensively during scans. This improvement addressed a gap in detection coverage, allowing security teams to make faster remediation decisions based on more complete package information. The work demonstrated a practical application of container scanning and software development skills, with a clear emphasis on security and maintainability. No bug fixes were recorded during this period, reflecting a focused feature delivery.
