Worked on the apache/gravitino repository to enhance server-side log accuracy for REST drop and purge endpoints across Metalake, Table, Fileset, Topic, and Partition resources. Focused on backend development using Java and REST API principles, restructuring logging logic so that log statements accurately reflect the true outcome of each operation. Adjusted log levels to emit INFO only when a drop action succeeded and WARN when it did not, eliminating misleading success messages. Simplified the response handling by inlining response creation, while preserving all existing user-facing behaviors. All changes were validated through existing unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
