In June 2025, Gav2xlin focused on maintaining security-sensitive dependencies within the microsoft/vcpkg repository. He upgraded key cryptography ports, including GPGME, libgcrypt, and libgpg-error, to their latest stable versions, ensuring the build system leveraged up-to-date and verified sources. Using CMake and his expertise in dependency and package management, Gav2xlin refreshed SHA512 checksums to maintain integrity and removed an obsolete macOS patch for libgcrypt, streamlining the build process. This targeted update improved the project’s security posture and build reliability, laying a stable foundation for future maintenance while demonstrating careful attention to detail in dependency management and build systems.
