Developed a modular theming enhancement for the zed-industries/extensions repository by integrating the One Dark Ocean theme as a Git submodule. This work involved updating TOML-based configuration files to register the new theme within the extensions framework and ensuring full compliance with the MIT license. By leveraging front end development and UI/UX design skills, the developer reduced user experience fragmentation and enabled more efficient theme iteration across the extension ecosystem. Repository hygiene was maintained through automated catalog sorting, and all changes were thoroughly documented. The result is a more maintainable and flexible theming system that supports independent updates and streamlined configuration.
