
Gerrit expanded the item customization system in the Wanderers-Of-The-Rift/wotr-mod repository by developing a Rune Gem and Socketable Item System that introduced socketable items, per-slot modifiers, and a data-driven rune set for health, attack, defense, and speed. He integrated Modtags on the Java side to align rune data with updated visual assets, ensuring consistency between code and in-game items. Gerrit also completed a comprehensive codebase maintenance pass using Java and Lua, applying formatting tools and import cleanups to reduce technical debt. This work improved engineering efficiency and maintainability, laying a foundation for faster, more reliable future development cycles.
