Developed a privacy-first domain registration feature for the FOSSBilling/FOSSBilling repository, focusing on compliance with registry privacy requirements. The work centered on implementing a Default WHOIS Privacy Status, updating the domain model to persist privacy status across registrations, and integrating registrar modules to set privacy by default using PHP for back end development. By introducing modular control through the getPrivacyEnabled() method, the solution allowed registrar modules to automatically enable privacy where required, such as for specific TLDs. This approach enhanced customer trust and compliance readiness by ensuring privacy protection is enabled by default during domain registration processes within FOSSBilling.
