Worked on moltbot/moltbot to enhance gateway reliability by developing a restart mechanism that addresses isolated cron setup timeouts. This feature ensures that stale cron tasks are properly finalized during gateway restarts and reloads, directly improving uptime and reducing operational risk. The solution was implemented using TypeScript with a focus on backend development and cron job management. Comprehensive verification included targeted regression suites for cron and task CLI, gateway filesystem and session checks, as well as typechecking and linting. These efforts resulted in smoother gateway restarts, improved user experience, and greater stability during updates, reflecting a methodical and quality-driven engineering approach.
