During March 2025, Ghost developed a Google VRP demo and tracking feature in the angular/dev-infra-private-ng-dev-builds repository, focusing on commit-level traceability and workflow identification. By embedding the bughunter profile ID directly into commit metadata, Ghost enabled enhanced auditability and streamlined VRP tracking without introducing functional changes to the codebase. The work leveraged Angular, Git, and build infrastructure instrumentation, emphasizing metadata-driven traceability and commit hygiene. Although no production bugs were addressed, the feature established a foundation for future VRP integration into CI/CD pipelines, supporting faster experimentation and improved visibility. The scope was targeted, laying groundwork for subsequent automation efforts.
