Worked on the LEANN repository to enhance backend autodiscovery robustness using Python and backend development skills. Addressed a critical issue where autodiscover_backends would fail if package_name was missing by introducing logic to skip processing in such cases, thereby stabilizing backend discovery. Improved test reliability by resolving failures related to legacy alias handling and updating tests to reflect current alias behavior. Focused on maintaining code quality by fixing pre-commit style issues and Ruff lint errors, which helped ensure consistent green builds in CI. These efforts reduced production risk and improved development velocity by making the autodiscovery path and test suite more stable.
