During April 2026, Perigio focused on advancing Italian localization and accessibility for the OsmAnd repository. He delivered a feature that translated 91.8% of the app’s strings into Italian using XML and Weblate, establishing a traceable, commit-based workflow for ongoing translation efforts. His work improved UI clarity and accessibility for Italian-speaking users, particularly benefiting those with disabilities. By integrating localization and translation best practices, Perigio laid the groundwork for a full Italian release and future internationalization. Although the scope was limited to one feature and no bugs were fixed, the contribution demonstrated depth in accessibility and localization engineering.
