Giovanna Polissici developed Brazilian Portuguese localization for the Deep-Live-Cam repository, enabling the application to support PT-BR users and broadening its accessibility. She implemented a scalable locale structure using JavaScript, focusing on internationalization and resource localization techniques. Her approach involved creating dedicated translation and locale files, ensuring that the groundwork was laid for future multi-language support. By leveraging git-based change traceability, Giovanna validated the localization workflow and maintained clear commit history. Although the work was limited in scope to a single feature over one month, it addressed onboarding and retention challenges for Portuguese-speaking users and improved the project’s market reach.
