During September 2025, Vidister focused on stabilizing the status editing workflow with media attachments across the mastodon/mastodon and thoughtbot/thoughtbot.social repositories. Addressing two nuanced bugs, Vidister ensured that editing a status to include new media attachments without accompanying text would correctly reload and associate the attachments, preserving data integrity and user experience. The work involved backend development and API integration using Ruby, with an emphasis on reinforcing test coverage to prevent regressions.
