During January 2025, 0raptor expanded URL handling in the TriliumNext/Notes repository by implementing RFC 5870 geo URI support. They used TypeScript and JavaScript to enable recognition and secure processing of geo: URIs, integrating these with Electron shell to allow seamless opening of location links within Electron environments. Their approach included careful URI sanitization to mitigate security risks, supporting safe interoperability with mapping services and enhancing location-based workflows.
