During December 2024, Goots focused on stability engineering for the redhat-appstudio/jvm-build-service repository, addressing a critical compatibility issue rather than delivering new features. Goots executed a controlled rollback of a Quarkus OpenAPI Generator dependency, reverting to version 2.7.0-lts to restore predictable OpenAPI generation and maintain stable CI pipelines. This work involved careful dependency management and risk mitigation using Java and Quarkus, ensuring that downstream services and APIs remained unaffected by breaking changes. By prioritizing dependency governance and rollback discipline, Goots demonstrated a methodical approach to safeguarding build reliability and maintaining the integrity of the project’s continuous integration workflows.
