During June 2025, J. Gilbert developed a new Asset Search Statistics Endpoint for the immich-app/immich repository, enabling users to query asset counts with flexible filters for analytics and reporting. The work focused on backend REST API design and implementation, using TypeScript and SQL to ensure efficient data retrieval and contract clarity. By aligning backend delivery with frontend analytics requirements, J. Gilbert enhanced the platform’s ability to provide data-driven insights into asset inventory. Although the project scope was limited to a single feature, the solution addressed a clear need for improved reporting and decision-making, demonstrating solid backend development and API skills.
